Biography

Originally from Suffolk, taking his A Levels at Suffolk One College in Ipswich, Kieran read Natural Sciences at Churchill College, Cambridge for his Undergraduate studies. He joined the group as a Part III Student conducting an experimental project investigating the ballistic properties of wood. Now as a PhD Student in the group, and remaining a member of Churchill College, he is studying the effect of damage on polymer bonded explosives (PBXs). This work is an attempt to bring together the fields of damage in PBXs, including the applicability of the Time-Temperature superposition principle, and its effect on sensitivity. Kieran is currently funded by the EPSRC and AFRL.
